Well made out of solid wood and plywood.No pressed board at all.Took me about 4-5 hours to assemble, but the instructions were pretty clear.One last thing:The only part where there were no pilot holes drilled were the casters for the drawers. That ABSOLUTELY requires pilot holes, so have a drill for this one step.Not too difficult to put together but directions were lacking in some areas. Sturdy material, feel like this will be a great bed for my 4 year old.The product is definitely you get what you pay for, the storage bins at the bottom have nowhere to be placed on the bed itself so it just stays on floor. Other than that cute bedMy grandchildren love the bed. I put white Christmas lights around the rails and they think it’s an awesome place to sleep. It is very sturdy for all their climbing and rowdiness. So glad I bought it!I'm not happy with this purchase and wish I could return it. It has damage to half the pieces- including the ladder, (photo #3) which would have given my son splinters. They will be sending me a replacement step but were not helpful when I first requested it. The drawers don't line up correctly (photo #1) and there's no track for them so they slide on the frame. They only work properly if not used on carpet (photo #2).My sons ask me to put a five stars review, they both love the bed and feel really comfortable. It took several hours to put all together but it worth it.Great value...reasonable instructions, my husband and I were able to get it up in one day and our girls love it.
