This bed was a lot to put together by myself so I do recommend two people do it. After it was together it seems strong, you have to purchase mattress and I got mine from my local Big Lots an they were 10 inches and they fit fine. I also not that it needed it I put a 1/4 inch thick piece of plywood under them. It’s going to work just fine for guests and with the lower bed put away it give me more room.
