This is a tall product so make sure you have the ceiling space. We put it in our 18ft ceiling room so it was fine for us but maybe not the average bedroom. We did replace the ladder as the medal rungs hurt their feet. It was easy to build a replacement with wood though. It freed up so much space I would definitely recommend this as a space saver. The bottom bunk is on the floor no legs which adds to the overall sturdiness. It currently has my 6ft 200 lbs 16 yr old boy, 5'10ft 200 lbs 19 yr old boy and our 5'3ft 115lb 15yr old boy. It is a great value for your money.
